Creating Quality Nonprofit Work and Program Space. Tides Shared Spaces develops Multi-tenant Nonprofit Centers nationally, with current projects in San Francisco and New York. We are committed to creating quality, stable workspace for social change nonprofits as well as supporting shared services and programmatic collaborations in our buildings. We also support multi-tenant building projects through consulting and advisory services. (See Why Share Space)
Building a Learning Community. Through our project, The NonprofitCenters Network, we provide education and peer networking in nonprofit real estate and the nuts and bolts of creating a Multi-tenant Nonprofit Center. The NonprofitCenters Network has a special focus on the creation and operation of green buildings as well as methods for creating collaboration and shared services. The constituency for this work includes nonprofit practitioners and their philanthropic, government and real estate partners.
Modeling Innovative Practices in Nonprofit Infrastructure. Our flagship project, the Thoreau Center for Sustainability in the Presidio National Park in San Francisco, provides innovative models of sustainable building operation, of using art to link communities and of creating quality, affordable nonprofit workspace.
